POCKET TEE'S PLEASE

Tonight we are going to a "going away party." I never quite understand these parties because I do not want to celebrate somebody leaving! But I do like an excuse to get people together and have fun. We are going to a local lounge and renting out a room. The boys want to play beerpong (ugh) so that is what is going to be happening, in other words... The girls will be in one area while the boys jump around and scream at each other. How exciting! But it is all for the young man that is leaving. He is going into the Air Force and the big joke is he always wears pocket tees and tore up jeans... so that is the required dress code of everyone that will attend. Kind of a funny little thing to make the party more personal. Funny to see people that would never wear one, sport one all night. It is also St. Pattys Pub Crawl tonight so it will be super crowded, Thank goodness we are just staying in one spot.

Holy cow is it gross outside though!! Which I think is a total bummer because it was SO nice for the past 2 days. It was just raining and then it turned to sleet and now it is just crumby! Oh well, at least it is a perfect excuse to stay inside and cuddle up on the couch with a blanket. What I NEED to be doing is studying and homework, but I am having a hard time staying motivated. Isn't that the way it always happens? Maybe Spring Break should just gradually end into a week instead of making it SO hard to want to go back to reality :)
I think I may take my second nap of the day before I get to crazy about getting ready for tonight... That just disclosed how lazy I truly am today :D

LAST DAY FOR LIGHT

This morning I woke up realizing that the weather says that the bad weather is coming. What a total bummer. I say this because there is just something about it being nice outside that brightens everyone's mood. You drive down the road and see people with their windows down, the music up, singing, not talking on their phones and being safe in the cars because they are ENJOYING it! What a great thing to see on a daily basis. Happy people :)
Yesterday I made a commitment that I was going to be active every day for a week starting today. So when I got up I went to the apt gym and ran during Ellen. She is such a light to the world in the morning. She just loves life and it truly shows through her show.
Last night we made hamburgers and potato salad and then a very weird thing happened. I went to the store because I had zero eggs to make some brownies. I made the brownies and took them out of the oven onto the burner on the stove. Come to find out the boy didn't turn off the burner from dinner... so the brownies were smoking and completely burnt. HA! It was awful at the time, but I soon realized that it was just food. The potato salad pretty good though.
So I am not sure about going anywhere tonight due to the weather, certainly don't want to get caught in the yucky weather :) Hope your day is lovely <3

OH MISTER SUN

Thank goodness for today's sunshine. I woke up kind of feeling defeated because I have just gotten back from Boston and visiting my family and all I can think about it how much I miss them. I'm sure you know how that goes, it's rough. So I went to class and then as I was walking to my 2nd one I was realizing that HOLY COW THE SUN IS OUT! It was such a nice little relief.
Yesterday I decided to try and cool my hair color down on my own. I mean I know how to because I am a cosmetologist, but honestly I wanted to try something that may not damage my hair SO badly. The blonde was yellow (well not like brassy, but yellow in my eyes) and so I used a Paul Mitchell Flash Finish on my hair.I think that my hair is resistant in general because of all of the DPL (Dual Purpose Lightener) I have put on it for so long. But it was a good experience, I do NOT recommend doing it yourself though, definitely go into a salon and have it done. You cannot get this product without a license, but it is so great to go into a salon and just have the experience as well.
Now I will be making the most of the rest of my sunny day :) By taking a run.

FRESH START

I am obviously new to the blog world, but I have been following certain blogs for a couple months and just love everything about them. They are inspirational people with great stories to tell. While I read them I think: Maybe I could reach just one person with my daily stories. When I read those wonderful blogs every day I suddenly feel really befriended. And not for the purpose of being connected with others, but that I SHARE amazing passion like those of the posters that I read.
So maybe a little about myself is in order...
I think it's so fun to play in the rain.
I know that I am very compassionate and that I should embrace such a quality.
The sound of the ocean is so soothing to me; in fact I have an "ocean playing" clock beside my bed.
I secretly want red hair, but never will because it would be an awful choice with my skin tone. ha!
Dresses really make me smile instantly. Something about being ultra feminine I think.
I wish I could have a huge collection of OPI nail polish, but in reality I only really LOVE approximately 10 colors.

Ok. Thats enough for the time being. Looking forward to tomorrow.
